87th Kannada Sahitya Sammelana kicks off with grand procession, minister hoists national flag

MANDYA: The proceedings of the 87th Kannada Sahitya Sammelana kick started with district in charge minister N Cheluvanarayanaswamy hoisting the national flag at the Sammelana venue near Sanjo hospital on Bengaluru Mysuru national highway.
After that the procession of the Sammelana president Go Ru Channabasappa started from Sir M Visvesvaraya stadium.
152 different folk teams including six from other states took part in the procession which was inaugurated by Sri Nirmalanandanatha seer of Sri Adichunchanagiri mutt. All put together more than 2300 people are part of the procession.
CM Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the Sammelana at 10.30am.
